Default HID's wont turn on with relay!

I got a bit of a problem here, Installed my HID kit and i got the lights to turn on without the relay by just plugging it into the factory plug. I bought this relay kit from theretrofitsource but the lights wont work with it installed. I can here the relay clicking when i turn on the lights but the lights wont turn on. I used a test light to check if there was power and there is power going to the ballast. So what do i do, doesnt the car need to be running? havent tried that yet but im in the process of putting back my manifold so i cant start it, was kinda hoping to see what they look like. thanks in advance for your help

How do you have the relay harness hooked up? Swap the relay with another 5-pin and see if it works.

well the relay has positve and negative wires which i hooked up to the battery, then it has two plugs that go to the ballast with i hooked up and then the two wires that go into the factorey plug which are connected. thats all i did, makes no sense because it is sending power through, i guess maybe it could not be enough? Not sure where to got a replacement relay. mine only has 4 prongs.

You can get replacement relays at autozone and such, just bring in the one that you have. Is there power after the relay?

Stupid question but did you hook them up to the high beams instead of the low beams? Switch your high beams on and see if they work. Are the ballasts whining?

if there single beams you have to have your high beams on for them to go on...

I've had the relay plugged in every which way, and ive tried high and low beam, still nothing. When i use a test light i do get power by the ballast power plug but they are nto turning on, but if i unplug the relay and hook the ballast straight up to the factory plug it turns on no problem.

Contact Matt from RFS and see if he can send you a replacement harness. That's just plain strange.

my guess is that one of the wires is in the wrong spot on the relay plug. I ordered a harness of of someone that builds alot of harness's and when it showed up, it didnt work. I sent it back and he sent me a new one. The new one didnt work either. After some research on hidplanet, i noticed one of the wires was in the wrong spot on the harness plug. It was so long ago that I wouldnt be able to tell you which one it was, but if you can post upclose pics of the wiring, the plug, and the relay pins, I am sure we can track down the problem.
