Hi everyone, I just finished installing my HID kit, wired everything like the instructions, connected the battery back up turned on the headlights and nothing. All the other lights come on but not the HID's. I did not install the relay kit because i wasnt sure if i needed it, but i am now wondering if that isnt the problem. Do those things need a certain amount of voltage to work? I'm not sure if my battery is totally full my cars been standing in the garage all winter. Also i wanted to ask, has anyone tried the 10000k HID kit? Is it decently bright or no? let me know if you have any suggestions.
2. 10,000K is going to be shit lighting. 6000K or less. The higher the kelvin, the worse the light. Color attracts cops.
3. Check your grounds, they need to be grounded to the battery.
4. Did they work prior to you buying them? The ballasts could be shit, the harness could be junk, or there is a popped fuse.
Start there.

The brand of them is Zentec or something like that, i bought them from ebay but the seller had good feeback. The headlights worked before i installed the kit. I dont think both the ballasts would be bad i could see one being bad but not both, im thinking it is a power issue so maybe i should get a relay harness. Yea i figured 10000 was gonna be too blue im guessing i can just buy new lights and wont have to buy different ballasts?? or do both have to be changed when going with a different heat range? Stupid i cant even get a flicker or anything out of them. Do poeple genarally have to but a relay kit to make these work? thanks

1. You need the relay harness to prevent damage to your car, and the ballasts.
2. They are probably cheap Chinese ballasts which will more than likely fail than work more times than not.
3. A ballast is a ballast. They don't care what they are powering.
You should have a relay harness, but not having one shouldn't cause the lights not to work. Its a problem with the way you have them wired or two bad ballasts/bulbs.
I wonder if its because the battery is too low, is that possible? I cant turn my stereo up very high either cause of the battery, or do you have to have the car running? Wiring should be simple right? the plugs on the light plug into the ballast and the other two wires plug into the factory light plug right? Does anyone have instructions? i cant seem to find mine anymore.
alright, just purchased relay kit from theretrofitsource hopefully that fixes it, ive tried everything already. If it doesnt work ill probably end up buying a kit from vvme.com better than the ebay crap.
