After reading several post about the crappy multifunction switch, I rushed to my local autoparts store to buy stuff for a stronger driving circuit. The store didnt carry Bosch or the AAMP relays. They just had an off brand 40A relay. Will this be sufficent? Also, how many HID owners out there have / have not upgraded the driving circuit yet?
heres a pic of what the harness needs to be, hpoe this helps, and if you dont feel comfortable doing it yourself PM haknslash he makes them so you wont even have to mess w/ it. good luck

It should be. I will post pics of my wiring when I am done. I started buying all the stuff and putting it together last night. I should be finished up by saturday.
Hate to break it to you but there is no such thing as a safe harness that it "plug and play". The relay, if it is a real safe harness would still need to be given a chassis ground and also a direct power input directly from the battery, fused ofcourse. Also the ballasts themselves have to given a chassis ground to give them the proper ground they require.

Yeah exactly what he said. Think of it as this. Basically all this harness will be doing is by-passing your existing stock wiring making this harness your safeguard from it causing possible expensive damages to your MFS or stock wiring.

how exactly is it done? the last thing I wanna do is burn out my stock harness...
I just hooked everything up to the stock stuff (PnP) and use the stock switch and all and haven't had any problems.
Well you should know whats happening behind the scenes. Your HID is working ok now, but in the future you may have problems...after many cycles of high inrush current have played havok with the inadequate contacts in you MFS.
