Default HID retro fits.

I'm looking to build my own retro fit projectors. From what i have read i will need an extra set of headlights, HID projectors, and a bunch of patience. But other than that i'm lost. What type of headlights do i get? what projectors do i get? and is there a write-up somewhere explaining what i need to do?

Thanks,
Joe

You can get some depo headlights and choose almost any projector you want from a single xenon (low beam only) to a bi-xenon (low and high beam). There use tobe a write up, but I dont know if its still up.

^^^yup, we got all the info you'd need

PS, I think i'm going to do another write-up since my PM box gets nailed on a constant rapid basis asking for help, tips or a how-to. I pulled my old write-up down long time ago because used to offer retros. I have just been too busy at work and home to get to making another how-to.

Until then, I'm here to help....

First thing is first, what is your budget to spend? That defines what you can and can't look at buying. From there we can narrow it down based off performance.

well seeing as i have found numerous hid plug and play kits from 100-300 dollars, I am assuming to get a good retro fit done i will be looking to spend somewhere between 6 and 7 hundred. if that is possible. If cheaper that would be great.

You would not be spending that much doing it yourself. You'll probably knock off $250-300 alone because you won't be paying labor.

-$160-$200 for Depos (depending on who you buy from)

-$150-$300 OEM ballasts and bulbs

-$70-$350+ on HID projectors (depending on what kind you buy and if new/used)

-$20+ various materials given you have dremel and the other necessary tools already

-$45 relay harness

ok well what projectors would you recommend? As far as ease of install. I am looking for bi-xenon i think. So what would be a good fit?

If you want hak, I can see about posting up everything that I gathered from your original how-to. Then you can elaborate on it to finish where you left off, or include your method of using the OEM adjusters.

It's up to you. If you agree on it, then it may be a few days before I can get everything posted.
