Default HID question

I new to HId's with this car, I'm curious if the the stock headlight lens cN hold up to the heat of the hid bulb? And how easy is to install the kit on these cars? I did a evo and it was a little different

An HiD bulb actually runs cooler than Stock bulbs.

relays are used to xtra protection so that the ballast doesnt try to use as much power from the stock harness

you will be fine with the HID kit, all cars can hold up the HID kit...even the deep blue color (10,000), and its very easy to install, just find a place to put the ballast under the hood and the rest its very easy.

so assuming this is right, that means it would be safe to run them in the Depo projector headlights?

ummm no ur depos have shitty projectors so one you put an hid blub in it the beam spread will be horrible and it would do u justice . so i wouldnt as far as the other guy saying u can support 100000 k dude u cant get what ever color temp u want its the blub size that matters, but anything above 8000 k wont help u see any better . the higer the temp the less output

You would be best to run D2S burners with the H7 adapter rings in the H7 projector housings. They'll adapt best to HID. That's what I'm planning to try out, and then probably do the right thing and put some proper HID projectors in there.

HID in the stock reflector housings suck. Very few headlights adapt well, and usually scatter way too much light to be safe. Aiming them down does nothing to help with that, too.

I also recommend sticking with 4100-4300K color temp. You'll get the most usable light on the road. The big difference is on wet roads. 6000K and up color temps really wash out when the short-wavelength light scatters when it hits the water on the road.

And, if you want that "blue" color, just mod the shield (usually just ever-so-slightly bending it backwards towards the burner (bulb) maybe 1-2mm) to get more color in your cutoff.

This is what the cutoff looks like in the Bosch e46 single projectors in my WJ:

So HIDs can be done with say the mpx halos? And are you referring to the s2k HID setup (D2S)? Someone said because the way it projects out it wouldnt scatter and blind as bad. Dont tell me I cant do HIDs with the mpx halos please lol.
