Default HID pics

Flash on.

Front pic with no flash. The left light seems to have a slight green tint.

Finally, an inside cutoff view. Please pardon my messy garage.

Looks nice.

What exactly did you do to mod the lights to HIDs?

Did you retro them yourself, or did Hack do it?

And $240?! Thats a deal.

Can you post pics in the daylight? I'd like to see the lights themselves. Thanks.

These arent projectors from an Acura or anything like that. They are 9007 type 8000k HID bulbs. All I had to do was remove the stock bulb, and VERY CAREFULLY insert the HID bulb. Then connect the ballast and wiring, pretty much plug and play. The install was very easy. The hardest part was finding a place to mount my ballast and wiring. The passenger side was really cramped.

Did you use a seperate harness? Using the wiring from the multifunction switch is a no-no.

Multifunction Switch + HID's = Burnt Wiring, you need to upgrade the harness soon or you will have toast for a wiring harness thats not cheap

Oh, okay. I'm new to this whole lighting thing, and I'm still learning.

Thanks for clearing that up.

get a real retrofit. Haknslash does some great work. PM him I believe you have to provide the projectors and the depo lights (Modern Performance has them). I'm just saving up to get my stuff so i can send it out to hak to take care of it for me.

Remember, you are putting HIDs into a housing designed for normal reflector bulbs.
Also, same goes for the wiring. As E-blue stated, you will want to upgrade the headlight wiring harness to something that can handle a stronger current flow.

I though real HIDs used less power, and made less heat. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
