hey hak...

i'd like to make my own TL or E55 retro.

do i need a TL or E55 bulbs to fit? or will 9007s from an aftermarket srt4 HID kit work?

You will need ballasts and D2S burners/capsules (more technical names for Bulbs). Prefferably OEM from Phillips or Osram for the burners. Can be bought from www.hidplanet.com or hidplanet.com/forums

If you're making your own TL or E55 retrofit, those projector bowls will accept only D2S. 9007 will not fit.

The projectors will NOT fit the stock housing.. YOu have to modify the stock housing to make them fit. Hence the name Retrofit.

good work finding this info...i feel much more confident in doing this now...i'll prolly go 6000k to get the "blue" look, it doesn't really matter how bright they are bc thats what high beams are for right?lol.thanks guys!

I need more info on the Wireing, more or less a how to for dummies. Cause i just bought an aftermarket kit, its so called "plug and play" but now you got me worried about the stock wireing
