i just recently install hid's...headlight and fogs...i used relay's. I went to flash a tune in my car so i put the ignition on and without relizing that it would matter i lefts the light on while i was flashing the car....within 2-3 mins it killed the battery...i had to get jump. drive the car around for about 15 mins so the battery charges back up and it was fine...started after i shut the car off.....today i was doing some werk on the car and i had the radio on but with the key turned backwards so the battery would not get messed up....so i got finnished and i had to flash the car with a tune again so i turn the key on with the radio play and killed my battery....WTF! LOL I had to get a jump...what would cause this to happen....i'm pretty sure i have the relay hooked up right....its grounded to the front bolt on the frame and the red power wires are hooked up to the bolt in the fuse box?...never happen untill i install the hids.....any input thanx....maybe i should hook the red power straight to the battery terminal?
i dont trust people when they test the battery. I had mine tested after i got my car and everything was fine. month later i take the car to the store and back to my house and then one hour later battery is deader then road kill. i honestly think that your battery is going bad
ha ha same thing happen to me left the lights on for like 20 min i was using it as light source when you dont have a flash light lol, any who jumped fine next day didnt start, its all the voltage that takes your cranking amps away and thats why it wont start, so new battery is your answer!! hope that helps
Maybe you guys are right...but what gets me is after I jumped the car and ran it .... There no problem, the alternator is doing it's job, the car starts right back up....I just can't leave the key on with anything running like the lights are radio. It's a mopar battery and I had for about 2 years. This never happen before I put the hid.... I just hope I have everything hooked up right.
U need to load test the battery cause it sounds like it's on it's way out
So you don't think it's from have the red power wires from the relay hooked up
fusebox? I hook it up like the how to on said to. I don't know...how long does mopar battery last?

My car starts fine after I shut it off. Maybe cause I'm using this relay harness with resistors lol.. To much juice...
had the same problems when my battery was on its final hours.. playin the radio for 10-15 mins then the car wouldnt start. left my HID headlights on for a few mins, car dead. able to get it roll started worked great. just anytime the car was off and i had electrical shit on the battery would keep dying. Cop a new battery
