Post up a pic of the HID kit set up.... Each kit is different with ballast, and so forth... Strange that it has both hi & lo beam. Most don't. Did it come with any sort of wiring diagram? You might be needing some sort of a relay like you said. See if the manufacturer's website has info too... One thing you DON'T want to do is fry the harness.... That will cost much more than the HIDs to replace.....
heres an exact diagram i made that they gave me for the install...as you can see it says i need to hook up 2 wires to the relay, and then 2 wires from the relay to the battery...thing is they never gave me a relay in the kit, and on the webpage is specifically says you do not need to buy any aftermarket accessories for the install, the kit includes everything
I just completed hid hi and lo beam conversion on a 2006 1300gsxr hayabusa. So it sounds like to me you need to get a hold of the person that sold you this kit because its missing some very important pieces. Let me know how this works out for you.

Ya, if that kit works out for you, I'd like to see and HID kit that works well with both a hi and lo beam.... that doesn't melt your wires on the high beam..
alright i hooked em up, the company i got em from is sending me the upgraded wiring harness for free, and he told me how to hook up just the low beams for now. they look pretty good, ill post up pics in a bit
