Default Help me decide!!! S2k,TSX, or TL projectors

I am stuck between these three. I am leaning towards the Tl and S2k's. If you have done a s2K swap PLEASE post pics. or if the s2k projector will not work, post. Please post pics of beam color pattern and how they look installed. Thanx

S2K will work just fine. I've had a few pairs and was the first to fit on in a teg. I know for a fact it will fit in a 03-up neon headlight simply because its basically the same size as a TSX and I've done several of those retros.

TL has the advantages of bi-xenon (high and low beam)

TSX is very similar in size and performance to the S2K at a fraction of the cost. As of date, there is no bang for buck projector better than a TSX. They are cheap and offer excellent lighting.

Whatever projectors you choose, I would most definatly choose a Stanley/Kioto made projector (i.e. S2K, TL, TSX, Murano, FX45 (bi-xenon), EVO, etc etc. The other projectors made by Valeo, Hella, Bosch, etc aren't on par IMHO with the Japanese line of projectors.

Here are pics of the S2K's in action on my old car...

Here is a bare removed S2K

Thanx so much. so when dealing with a non Bi-xenon when you turn on your brights, what happens? Also I was looking on hidplanet, and saw the color mod were you can see red at the cutoff point; can you do this on the TL projector? and now im leaning towards the TL projectors. again thanx.

If you have a single xenon projector then unless you have a diode in place, when you hit the high beams you will lose power to the ballast. A relay harness and diode will fix this issue. I have some harnesses here.

For the TL shield mods, go here for my how-to: http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6610

sweet thanx. I saw the shield mod but can you do the "color" mod on the TL's like you did on your tsx and s2000 projectors?

Hey Hak, which projectors are in the Pacifica? IMO I think those look phenominal and rank up there with the S2K's. Great light output and wonderful color band.

hey dude, after reading most of hak's other posts, you still have to use the depo headlights b/c the glue is pretty strong on the stockers, and you can weaken the depos glue by sticken 'em in the oven/heat gun

SR20SRT-4, in that very same link I gave you shows both mods you do to the TLs. Both the color mod and the shield/foreground mod.

Yup.

The pacifica projectors are nice but you have to be careful when purchaseing them. Free tip. You need to know what to look for when buying them because alot of ebay sellers claim to be selling pacifica HID projector headlights when in fact they are the halogen version sometimes. The Pacificas came with three different headlight styles. Halogen reflector, halogen projector and finally the HID projector headlight which looks identical to the halogen version except for ofcourse the bulb holder. Just letting you know. Should you decide to buy a pair or are interested in a pair and are not sure if its a halogen or a true HID unit, feel free to contact me via PM and I'll set it straight for you.

I really need projectors myself. Can your average joe get these fitted into the headlight housing pretty easily? Link to a how to is what I'm asking basically. I really need to do this, my lights are ok when I'm behind a car from what a I hear, but oncoming it gets pretty bad.
