Hey guys, I tried out the sylvania's, and although they are brighter, they look pretty much the same as stock. What bulbs would be good that are blue, thanks. I was thinking PIAA, but they are expensive. Are the APC 9007 ones from the discount auto parts for 20 bucks good?
I would not recommend APC. Those thigs last a whole 3 months. The only blue bulbs I have had very good luck with is Eurolite. They last close to 3 years in both my Civic and in my SRT-4. I just replaced them with Silverstars. The place that carried them stopped selling them so I didn't feel like ordering bulbs. Those cost around $30.

Yeah, I wish I could get HID's. Even the 150 ebay ones are not within my reach. They are just too much, maybe when I save up. I spent 40 bucks on the 9007 sylvania's, the ones everyone has recommended, but so what, they look just like stock, albeit brighter. I want something blue, and they have the 9007 headlight bulbs in different variations of blue, purple, and white. I want blue, something that is similar to HID's with 8000-10000k intensity. Eurolites I will check them out. Any other suggestions?
I bought the sylvania's, think I can return them?
they were 40 bucks, i figure i can at least change them, but i want cash back honestly.
The BEST halogen bulb your ever going to get IMHO is the TRUE Osram Silverstars. I'm not talking about the dinky Sylvania stateside Silverstars you find here in the states. Those are just coated bulbs. REAL Silverstars in European areas are not coated at all. They are clear yet produce intense output. Much like all the labewls and gimmicks "claim" to do here but these actually do it, and not at the cost of coating a bulb blue ....

Do you have any output picture of those, I would like to see a night picture of those installed in someones car.
I know there is a website www.eurodezigns.com. The bulbs on there are $30 a set and you get a lifetime warranty on the bulbs. After that you pay $9.95 for shipping for new bulbs. I bought one set for the beetle, they last 6 months, haven't bothered with the warranty. But it seems like in the beetle bulbs go fast, prolly due to having daytime running lights. They even chew up regular bulbs like crazy.
oh snap, please post links on where to get them!!
I bought some 7000k halogen bulbs, which give off a light bluish hue. They told me though, that only HID's produce the blue color. Oh well. Im seriously liking those osram silverstars euro edition, they look sick.
why do people think that blue is brighter?? if anythign blue is darker, and when its wet out you cant see shit. blue is not brighter and blue is not cool looking, WHITE is cool looking WHITE is brighter.. its WHITE people WHITE!!! not BLUE!! i sware im gona skull fuck the ass that came up with blue headlights claming they are brighter then normal headlights!!!
hack i dont know how you do it man, how can you answer all these peoples questions when it comes to stuff like this.. esp when you have a sticky at the top of this section.
