Hey everyone im lookin at buying the projector halo head lights on modern performance and I wanted to know how difficult it is to wire up the halo's and LED's. The information on the site is kind of vague on how these wire up...from what i can understand the factory headlight harness plugs into the Projector Halo's perfectly, but if you want the halo and LED operation then you have two separate wires that you have to hook up or something like that? Can anyone clarify this process? Thanks.
ok....once u open the box ull see that the high beams and low beam will be ready for u to plug and play. If u are just using the highs and lows then no additional wiring is needed.
1. just take out the stock head light via the two screws on top, might need a little playing to get out
2. screw off the 9007 bulb and unplug the harness from the blub
3. do the same for the turn signal, but dont unplug the blub
4. take the MP head light and just take the stock harness for the lights and plug it into the back of the head light from MP, its just plug and play.
If u want to wire the Leds, and Halos, then ull need additional wiring. there are many ways to do this,
one u could just wire them to the low beam wire (purple) of the 9007 harness, this will allow the leds and halos to turn on once ur lows are on, (dont recomend)
two you could wire them two a on/off switch, ull need to use a relay to be safe, there is a how to retro fit headlights in the lighting modification section from haknslash that shows u how to wire a relay...

Hey thanks man, so you say you don't recommend wiring them in with the stock harness?
I should have not even written the first option, for many reasons. burn wires, fuses, burn alot of other things as well. the harness is only meant to provide enough power to the headlights, more power needed to power up the halos/leds will cause damage, USE A RELAY...I just got done wiring mine today and i used all relays, i didnt like the leds so i didnt bother wiring them, but i wired my halos to an inside switch using a relay...the safest option out there....
at first i did wire the leds as blinkers, but the leds come in white color, not really the best led color for blinkers...a day later the passenger side LEDS went out, i dont know why or how, i wired them to a relay as well....but no luck, relay is good, fuse is good but the lights blown out.....so ima have to replace them...and im looking for the leds in like orange or amber or yellow, so they could be actuall turn blinkers....so yea. also the white LEDS make it look a little cheap.
I just got mine I wired the halos and the leds to the running lights. On your turn signal socket it is the black wire ground and the black with greenish/yellow for power.
I like how they look (Although like others probably won't wire up the halos). I don't plan on hids, but I want something that can throw more light on the road and not blind others.
I know the H1 bulb puts out more lumens (low beam) than the 9007, but for you guys that have installed them, does it appear to illuminate a greater distance? I drive a lot in the dark, so I want to do the best I can with whatever fits. If I could, I'd throw in a set of HIR 9012's like I got for my Scion.
Thanks
