Default Halo Lights: Nay or Yay

Well i'm thinking about adding Halo's from Modern Performance, the ones listed for $249, i searched around earlier and saw a few installed pictures and they've really grown on me. The only thing that is kinda holding me back would be light output.

Thoughts? Also, would you consider these to be 'rice'

Discuss.

don't like 'em. They are not "bad looking", but not my taste. As for the light output i have not the first clue.

the output is ok. the looks are ok. the condesation build up is rediculous and frustrating. So frustrating that mine went from installed, to in the trash can in less than 2 months. condensation was so bad that the light output didnt have a cutoff line anymore, and there was a small amount of standing water in the bottom of the housing.

Would it be possible to seal up the housing better? I have heard about this in the general automotive area.

yeah i think you can touch up some sealing areas with some silicon and you'll be just fine... ive seen these with a black housing on a local blue srt here and said something about the condensation build up as well but i think it is a fixable thing

I'm sure the condensation build up can be fixed but it's a massive pain in the ass, it should be made correct to begin with imo, you should have to deal with resealing it untill it's perfect.

But didn't you break the seal on yours to install HIDs or different LEDs or something? I thought I remembered you saying that you took them apart.

I've got them and I just installed them last night. I think the light output is good, and I love the look overall. I have some pictures of the stock vs. the projector when I had one of each installed. I'm starting a seperate thread for the installed pics now.

there is no seal.....look at all the holes on the back of the housing where the wires enter the housing and also the little black caps. I sealed everything I could. when that didnt work, I removed the lenses and resealed them also. thats when the frustration began. I tried 3 different sealers over the course of 2 months.

Hmm, I guess I'll have to keep an eye on them. I haven't had them in long enough to see if there was any condensation.
