Actually lots of people when looking at the pros and cons between the two products.
Sure there is nightshade and we wont try to take anything away from them, but you have to consider a few things at least.
- The Nightshade spray has a dull finish to it
- You have to try to get the paint even and then sand and clear. Not everyone can do this or does it.
- If you want to remove the Nightshade spray you have to use something like laquer thinner. That will eat into your lights and cause them to be dry, dull and possible develop cracks since the polycarbonate material cant handle such a hot solvent. You might be able to fix the dullness, but not the cracking.
- Not to mention the tape time and all that goes with prepping. How much is that worth in dollars? Most shops charge $60-100 an hour. Figure an hour taping. Isnt your time worth something.
Sure you get more satisfaction by doing all that work yourself with Nightshade but you also take more risk.
With our product you get clear coat finish that is really nice, Installs in minutes and you can remove without harming or a chance of harming the light itself.
If you are not interested that is total cool with us and we wish you the best. But 1000 customers this year cant be wrong can they? We offer a choice and a safe alternative to smoking your tail lights.
Any pics of an SRT tail? I'm skeptical about a film, since the SRT tails have a compound curvature that would be tough to put film on without wrinking..
that would not be hard to install...put it on like tint, a little soap and water apply then squigi (spelling) then let the sun dry it and also make sure to get out all the air bubbles. that is if it is like tint.
id get your facts straight about nightshades. i wax mine weekly along with me car and they stay glossy. tape time? it takes 2min max to removed the entire taillight, no taping off. another plus about nightshades is you can basiclly pick the darkness you want.
It is a 17 mil High impact resistant film that we actually use for the headlights and foglights to protect against rocks and such.
The only way it is like tint is the color.

im definitely interested....does it tint the ENTIRE taillight for the stock srt4 taillights, correct? let me know!

Did you clear yours? We have done our research on Nightshades. Thanks
Nightshades with no clear has a dull look to them as you can see in th epic below. I am not going to argue the point of dull or shiny here, nightshades versus our product. We just stated pros and cons between the two products As I said before if you would prefer Nightshades go for it.

Nightshades do have the hazy finish unlike this film does. This film makes it look as though they have been prof. smoked by a automotive paint shop vs some DIY job like the nightshades look like.
I'm w/ cfree. I'd buy some if I can see them installed on our tails on a car.
