Default Gauges...what did dodge do?

Ok, yes, i have a dodge stratus r/t, but i figured some of you may have a clue on how to help me out on this one. My question is how do i change the color of the gauges in the car from amber to red?

So i bought some 194 bulbs assuming basics of the stock gauges were the same between the 01-02 and 03-04 dodge stratus r/t's. Boy was i wrong. You could simply pull the bulbs out of the 01-02's where as in the 03-04's...well..just take a look.

These are up-close pictures of the gauges. The metal cylindrical things actually control the needles and correct me if im wrong but i think they function as a light/LED too i believe?

Since i have my gauges off i would seriously like to change them to red cause it was a bitch to get off because of my alarm. I do not know much about LED's and resistors, but it appears that that is what this board consists of...again correct me if im wrong.

I cant recall what the srt-4 gauges look like off hand, but has anyone changed the lights in gauges similar to a setup like this? Or does anyone have any suggestions as far as how to change them?

Don't know if this is possible but would an 01-02 gauge work? You could swap them and then be able to put different bulbs in it like u wanted. I have no idea if they are compatible or not but just figured I'd toss the idea around. What's underneath the cluster back? Can u seperate the two or will that destroy the needles?

How many of our country's problems could be solved – and solved quickly – if politicians were more worried about what is good for our country rather than how to protect their positions of power?
