So I did the gauge modification to clear out the numbers. I have the red L.E.D. lights behind the dash now... I just have one problem left... I noticed that the dials do not calibrate themselves and return to working stock function. I am planning on driving down the street with my dash open, and placing the needles in, when going down the highway next to my brother. I think it will work! The only thing I have to do sitting still is the gas, the temp, and the RPMs. I will just see what his RPMs are at, and get as close to that on idle, and try to make that work. With the temp, I figure let the car run for a while, let it warm up, and match the car temp, between the 2 SRT's and just push the needle back on to match my brothers. Lastly, I am going to fill the gas tank, and place the needle just above the full line, where it always used to be... So when I shut of the car I am at where I need to be. Am I correct? Also I noticed something, when you take the key out, the dash needles zero themselves out when in off position... if your needles fall just above the zero marking, just remove the needle at that time, and adjust it accordingly. That would work right? *EDIT: It kinda gives you an idea of the stress the pins are on... still have no idea how to read it

In lunchbox's thread someone mentioned that you need to remove the cluster and let it sit with all of the power disconnected for a while (at least 30mins) so the needles rest at their lowest point.
Then you can remove the needles and when you are done you can just put them back at their lowest point again and everything will be normal.
Did you do that? Or did you just take them of right away?
Put the needles in the cluster, and hook everything back up. Hold down the Trip button ( the black button on the cluster) and turn the key to the "on" position. It should do a calibrating "self-check" it works on my car.

I was wondering if anyone was going to tell him how to do it

Yes, now if the person who originally posted this thread would please paypal me $54.99 for my services and preventing the headache you would have had trying to do this on the street.

In lunchbox's thread he said that method didn't work for him.
I can't say because I personally haven't done this mod, but I was under the impression it didn't help. I could be wrong though.
I did the calibration, it worked for all but the speedo, no worries, i jsut recalibrated it more and more, and i even took the needle out and recalibrated it, then put the needle in, worked perfectly. So you have to have the needles all out, then calibrate it, then put the needles in.
I cheked it by recalibrating the dash by holding the trip meter in as i put the car to "on", I put the needles in after the pins set in place, I ran it down the street with my brother in his SRT, ran 25mph held it, i followed, matched my brother's speed, gauge indicated 25mph... we checked it at 55mph, and then at 100mph, and it all evened out, checked the rpms at 4 levels, idle, 25mph- 2nd gear, 55mph- 4th gear, & 100mph- 5th gear... checked the coolant temp everything matched high and low gears, high and low mph.

You're welcome BTW
Yeah for the first part... "recalibrating the dash by holding the trip meter in as i put the car to "on"" The rest of it was my own idea.
