i was washing my car and i noticed that on the driver headlight there is a gap. the rubber around the light is not making a seal is there a way to move the light over just a little. i will post pics
i just found the same problem in my car and i tried pushing it back together and it didnt work.
a month or two ago i got my stock intercooler replaced by the dealership so im thinking maybe they didnt put my bumper back on correctly, so i might have to get them a call and have them fix it under warranty.
unless i just need to take a better look at it and figure it out.
This happens quite alot to me since I retro a good bit of neon lights. The driver side is most prone mainly because the way to wires/harnesses are ran, it sometimes causes the housing to hit the wires and all behind the headlight and cause it to not sit fluch. To fix it do as everyone said and remove the bolts, remove the headlight and make sure when you re-install it that no wires or the harness are hitting anywhere on the rear of the housing. It takes some fanagaling sometimes.
the three screws on top of the bumper that are near the middle of the car? or are there a couple more i didnt notice? i only popped the hood and glanced as i had an appointment and was in a rush..
i took the bolts out and moved the headlight around a little bit, the wires behind the headlight were not interfering any way with how it was sitting. the passenger headlight is sitting in its position very nicely and tight but the drivers side only goes in one spot, where the holes for the bolts are. after i took the bolts out i still couldnt move it enough to cover up the gap, because then it wasnt aligned with the bolt holes.
as i said earlier i had my intercooler replaced under warranty so i can suggest the bumper wasn't put back on correctly and i can have them fix it for me, if i can't figure it out here soon.
Jack you car up and look way up toward the top of the fender from the under the car. There is 3 nuts holding the top of the front bumper onto the 1/4 panels. There is possibly enough play in those holes that match up the fron bumper to have a slight gap. Losen the 2 that are on the same track. The 3rd one that is the hardest to get to, is not going to do much for moving the bumper since it is angled. The other 2 have a slightly elongated (sp) hole to bolt the bumper up with.
If you need more help on what 2 I am talking about I will take pics in the morning.
