Is it strong enough without the connector at the bottom? If you cant go all the way around with one piece, I would suggest cutting another piece and use some jb weld to hold it together. You want them as strong as possible so the proectors isnt bouncing when you hit bumps. As long as its able to hold the projector and you can adjust them there shouldnt be any issue.
oh yeah its strong enough. its 12g steel. the onlu thing i'm worried about is, if you look at the 2 side holes of the projector, they'll have to be cut away. so some support will be compromised.
12 gauge steel No wonder you go through cut off wheels like George Burns went through cigars! I also use "horse shoe" brackets, but I use 22 gauge and I just bend the edge up all around at a 90° angle in order to give it extra rigidity. I should go snap a pic of an extra that I have laying around.
