Default g37 retro

starting a new set with a pair of 3" g37 projectors w/ zkw lens

i might cutout that plastic shield inside the top of the projector

junk lens test fit the flange will probably need to be mounted inside the bowl

compare to an E55 projector

i might figure out a way to use this shroud

more to come soon

Do you know who makes this projector? Definately a Japanese company like Koito or Standley.

Is it Ds2 or something like H11?

Is it strong enough without the connector at the bottom? If you cant go all the way around with one piece, I would suggest cutting another piece and use some jb weld to hold it together. You want them as strong as possible so the proectors isnt bouncing when you hit bumps. As long as its able to hold the projector and you can adjust them there shouldnt be any issue.

oh yeah its strong enough. its 12g steel. the onlu thing i'm worried about is, if you look at the 2 side holes of the projector, they'll have to be cut away. so some support will be compromised.

12 gauge steel No wonder you go through cut off wheels like George Burns went through cigars! I also use "horse shoe" brackets, but I use 22 gauge and I just bend the edge up all around at a 90° angle in order to give it extra rigidity. I should go snap a pic of an extra that I have laying around.

Looks good so far though
