Anybody thought of this? I guess it depends on how many amps the wiring for the stock fogs will provide. Some small projector driving lights could really brighten up the night.

The stock fog lights are fused for 10 amps, which gives you a maximum of
60 Watts for each lamp.
I thought about this myself, but have no clue about amps, or watts, or gigawatts, or flux capacitors.
Gigawatts from a headlight would take the paint off the car in
front of you in traffic. That might actually be cool, after some
jerk in an SUV cuts you off.
But my point is, if you don't want to change any wiring, you could
install 2 driving lights with a maximum rating of 60 Watts each
in place of the fog lights, and all should be fine.
The weak point in the chain is the multifunction switch in the steering column. I would suggest using relays to switch dedicated power from the battery if you decide to go above 50W/bulb. Smoking steering column=baaad.

Running relays are pretty simple to do. Plus I have Andrew's steering column as a spare. Actually thinking of changing the stock 'fog' lights anyway.
I dont care about switching my lights out, i just want to be able to run the fogs with just my parking lihts for dusky/dawn times...or light rain, kinda annoys me that i can only run them with the headlights on
i've been thinking about this one for SOME time.. like since i designed my 'evil twin' srt.. but since i prolly won't have an srt for a while i'm gonna do it with my first gen- my only problem is street legality.. anyone know if its street legal to use ur fogs as headlights??
It's only illegal to have your fogs on while the high beams are on...but I think that varies from state to state.
Using your foglights/driving lights without the use of the main headlamp beams, I don't know if that's legal or not. Considering the driving lights are not likely DOT spec, I'm sure someone could write you a ticket for something

Hey guys,
Sorry for giving this thread a new life after a year, but it is exactly the question I am looking for an answer for.
Is there a driving light kit that exists for the SRT4 that will replace the stock fog lights? with mounting brackets & everything so it's jus tplug & play?
Here's where I am coming from: I bought blazertech driving lights for my grand prix. I aimed them a little higher for country driving. I Just did a HID swap so my city driving is fine, just wanted to see if I could get a +300ft solution.
Literally those blazertechs would shine over 300 ft in front of you! But no side-to-side light at all. Strictly straight ahead.
Sum up: I would use my HID's for city driving, and replace my fogs with long distance driving lights for back country driving (or pissing off the a-hole on-coming that has his high beams on) Does a kit exist for these driving light replacements?
