the other day i had a problem with my driver's side headlight. if you look inside the housing, there is a rounded metal "cup" that kindof hides the tip of the 9007 bulb (just look at the housing, you'll see what i mean) anyhow, for one reason or another, this piece feel off twice within 2 days, even after pressing it back in after the first time. i was able to press it back in by removing the housing from the car, removing the bulb, then i could get my fingers in the bulb hole to snap this thing back in. upon putting it back in a second time, i put a little super glue around the edges of this thing to ensure that it wouldnt come out again. sure enough, it stays now... but bow i have a constant haze in the upper portion of my lens. some areas worse than others. i know that some hardening liquids give off heat as they dry, i dont know if this is the case for super glue or not... anybody gave any ideas as the whats going on? i know our housings are also ventilated, but i also took the turn signal bulb out for a few hours to give it some extra circulation,... still very hazy. any ideas guys?
yeah..superglue gives off fumes when it cures that will do that. It will definitely not go away by itself, even if you could get in there to try and wipe at it, it might be permanent. it might wipe away though. try and like jam a rag in there and a dowel or something? Nothing that you cant get out though.

yea i assumed maybe it was from fumes. it looks like when you breath on a glass surface... kinda foggy, but it wont go away. i can definitely get a rag in there no problem with the housing out, i'll do this tomorrow after work. the only thing is, that the fogginess spread to the very upper part of the headlight, where the lens overlaps the housing (what im saying is, a rag will never go in there) nothing some eyelids cant fix though
try using medical q-tips on the longer stick to reach in their.... just hope the haziness is from condensation and not from the glue itself drying on their... if it's water no problem.... if it's glue buy another set of headlights... its a mother to get super glue off plastic without damaging the plastic with harsh chemicals....

ive realized that the haziness is in too many places to get off without removing the lens. no biggie, im gunna put it in the oven (250 degrees, 8 minutes after shutting it off) i put a pen in there with paper towel around it, and i could just BARELY touch one of the foggy surfaces, and a little bit came off. im hoping the rest is that way. for now ill just put my other set of stock headlights back on the car. if the haziness doesnt go away from my other set, can you say, umm... new headlights and retrofit? i can
well i put the headlight in the oven, then afterwards took off the lens. after 45 minutes of polishing the inside of the lens with Meguire's Scratch-X, it looks like new! i glued it back onto the rest of the housing and it is now back on the car
