Default Fog light bulbs..

Hi,

i've been looking to change my fog light bulbs. I seen some posts that were using 893st (silverstars) but they didn't last very long.

I have had an e-bay vendor tell me that the 9005 bulbs they sell will fit...I am skeptical at best to this...

but on the off chance...is this true?

Thanks
Coben

Yes, the 893s are the same bulbs as the 899s, as kaminarineon says in his post above. I have the Silverstars, and haven't had any problems, other than they're not as bright as I thought they would be. I know this is a dumb question kaminari, but when putting them in, did you make sure not to touch the bulb to your skin, or to the foglight housing itself?

Mine were the new batch ... they lasted 4 mo. before the passenger fog went out .

I bought some Euro Dezigns Xenon-Krypton (6000K HID) 893 Bulbs for my fogs off eBay @ 1/3 the cost.
I have had them for 7 mo. w/o any problems ... running them the same as I did the SilverStar.

They are bulbs only. He referred to the color only, not real HID.

A 50 watt!!! I give you no more than 1 month before your fogs lights melt!!!

The stockers are 37.5 watts and going beyond that will melt them.
