You can wire them off the turn signal/parking light as a two wire hookup and it will work just like any other "side marker"

so clip one of the wires? and splice it to the turn signal? is there a way to make is shut off when the normal turn signal flashes? so the corner light stays on but it flahses off when the turn signal turns on. can you ms paint me a scimatic of this

The way it would work is that if the parking lights are off and you hit the turn signals, both the side marker and the front turn signal would blink at the same time. When the parking lights are on or the headlights and youy click the turn signal, the front signal and side marker would alternate flash sequence. That is how you traditionally wire in side markers as turn signals/side markers.

Get access to the side marker light wires. You will see two wires attached to the lamp. Cut the ground wire about a couple of inches from the lamp. Give yourself some room. In order for this to work, you MUST CUT the wire. Splicing into it will not work.

Next move onto the front turn signal/parking lamp connector. You will see three wires going to the single lamp in the plug. One is ground, another is the turn signal, and the other wire is the parking lamp. Carefully cut about 1/2 inch of insulation from the turn signal wire. DO NOT cut the wire, just the insulation from it, so about 1/2 inch of bare wire shows.

This is the wire that you are going to attach to the ground wire of the side marker light that you cut earlier. Connect the two wires together with quality barrel connectors and tape them up with quality 3M electrical automotive tape or use heat shrink (best). If you wish you can solder them as well, but it is not necessary and would give you the best connection.

I know this sounds strange to some people connecting a ground wire to the hot wire of the turn signal, but it works . The hot wire acts as a intermitent ground for the side marker and alternates in cycle.

Do the same for the other one...

The parking lights and side marker lights will work the same as normal. In the daytime, when you put the turn signal on, the side markers will blink with the turn signal. At night, when you have the parking lights on, and use your turn signal, the side marker lights will blink opposite of the turn signal. Meaning, when the front turn signal blinks on, the side maker will blink off, and visa versa.

This should work. I haven't done it on my car but this is the general way to wire them up and how I did in on my previous car. Works like a charm

Not sure what color the wire is. Use a test lihgt or multimeter

Yes you can use splice connectors instead of striping back the insulation and wiring it in. I just am not a fan of those as they can work them selves a weak or loose connection over time.

should we sticky this? ill post up a how to when i do it. i hope i dont short anything out.. the whole ground on a hot wire is kinda weird but eh.. ill try it.

how dose it flash during the day? dose the power for the marker light act as a ground while the ground connected to the signal acts as the power? that makes sence.. hmm ya this makes sence now.. its weird how simple it is to make it work that way.

Nah, couldn't sell it because I had headlight orders left to finish. Now that everyones is already done with the aiming for the most part, I can finally sell the car. Getting something MUCH slower but I need a SUV because I'm starting a family with a lil one and have a big ass dog now. Looked at a nice loaded up Highlander last night.

Hopefully I'll money left over from the difference in payment to buy me another sportbike to satisfy my go-fast needs from selling the SRT.

You guys are welcome for the info. That's what I'm here for
