Talking The FIRST Audi R8 Modded Neon/SRT Retrofit!

Well....I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I'm totally psyched and completely excited beyond all recognition that this played out as well as it did. The lens is just sitting on there at the moment, as is the eyelid. I need to wait for more LEDs, the company screwed up my order...ten were missing, so I can finish the passenger side one. I also need to pick up some Nissan sealant so I can finish these up. I also need to clean the lens so don't mind the dust.

There are 11 White Superflux LEDs in either headlight spaced evenly apart and all wired into one power and ground wire. Anymore questions feel free to ask. I absolutely love them

Now that looks amazing and way better than your boostjunkie retros that you had before at least you did these on your own.

Planning on them going on with the running lights, although I do have switches coming in with the remainder of the LEDs. The foglights (demon eye and pink halo) will probably run on their own switches, but I'm not sure yet. Once the other LEDs come in (probably Monday or Tuesday) I can finish up the passenger side light. Then I need to grab some Nissan sealant and go to town on the lens before I aim them. I was just too excited to wait any longer so I posted em up

thats what i figured if you take the constant power wire from the turn sig bulb, and used it for the leds that would work. i found out, today actually that when the turn sigs are on (on an r8) the leds turn off.

These are brand new headlights, yours were ruined beyond all recognition after he was done with them. Not to mention one of the radiator support brackets was snapped off when I got them.

It probably would have been easier to buy an LED strip, but with the nature of our headlight it wouldn't be easy to mount it. That's why I chose individual LEDs and soldered each one together. 22 wires down to 2. Took alot of time but I like the look of it better. You can't tell in the pictures but these are LITERALLY blinding. I love them. That's badass that it shuts off with the turn signal...I wonder how it operates...relay?

i'm gonna find out more about that, my friends are vw guru's.

since our turn sigs are dual filament doesn't the running light portion shut off as well when the turn sig portion is activated?

I don't know if it shuts off, or if both filaments turn on. I wouldn't mind these staying on at all times though. They're damned sexy.

I didnt know that sorry crystal thought you saved them . Guess not even you could save a boost junkie retro seeing what he does to them. Taken everyones money. THats why everyone is doing there own retros now seeing its hard to trust after him. Awesome job anyways.
