Here is a old ebay listing for some guy who figured it would be cute to not only steral peoples images, but also their bandwidth. Lucky for us we found out and mentioned it to our hidplanet member and he thoughtfully figured he would change the image of the URL to come up with what you now see in the ebay listing. Turn him into eBay, I do it all the time for people who steal my pictures. I catch people stealing my pics constantly. Log in, then click HELP (at the top), Contact Us (on the left), Listing Violations, Copying of your listing, Report your picture or description was copied or linked without permission. Use a web host or www.imageshack.us to post your original picture (without that guy's watermark) in order to prove your pics are yours. I've always had success with eBay, they'll cancel his listing and send him a Rule Violation email.

I filled out the NOCI form and faxed it in to them . That is there VeRo program which is what it will take you to if you follow your procedures. Hopefuly they will pull his auction.

Saves you from the headaches down the road..you don't have to add the BOLD watermarks, there are many which you can see but don't throw off the picture.

I was being sarcastic, to a degree.
My point is there is no point in watermarking. Anyone proficient in photoshop can easily remove your watermark. It won't stop them. I've had "watermarked" images stolen in the past. They would either crop around it or clone it out. Also doesn't matter if you use a real digital watermark plug-in like Digimarc for photoshop because all they have to do to get around that is do a simple screenshot caption since digimarc just keeps them from being able to save the image as well with encoding the watermark.
Before anyone says, well just use a huge transparent watermark fo your name so they can't easily clone or crop it out. Well, please see first excuse for why I don't watermark LOL.

Several reasons but I'll point out the most important....
Someone who has zero knowledge of HID is going to visit that guys auction. See pics like mine if a actual oem projector and then they will think that they will recieve results similar, if not the same. They will then waste their money only when they realize that what was pictured was nothing more than a marketing ploy to get their money. Its a common trait of....being uninforned.

How do I leave a comment for him when I haven't bought anything? I've never left negative feedback so I have no idea if you can or can't do it without buying the product first. I think you have to buy it but correct me if I'm wrong and I'll definitely leave him bad comments!
I'll contact his host too but it won't do anything. I do know of a "certain someone" here on this site who could do melicious things to his account but I'm not willing to take it that far. I just want my pics removed and his auctions pulled.
