also from all the experts, I know these arent the best projectors out there but if its either stock headlights with HID'S or these with HID's whats better?
Thats my preference of the order they should be in. PnP in the stock headlights look nice, but the light is all over the place and you will probably get flashed all the time driving down the road.

The stockers may look brigher but alot of that light is going places it shouldn't so that doesn't count. As far as usable lighting on the ground... I'd say both are about even in output.
One plus about the Projectors is you won't be blinding everyone with all the stray light. Other drivers will thank you for choosing the projectors.
As far as retroing. I'd say the stocker give you the ability to use just about every projector available to man but can be tricky to make them look nice, stock, OEM-like. The projector housings limit what projector you can use due to the size constraints but look great as all the cosmetic stuff is already done for you. It's really a matter of preference & confidence in your ability.

Comone, bump to see some GOOD pictures of these in black with HIDS I know someones got them, even if just for the look during daytime such as the member whyconform. I just got my l.e.d tails so if they look good in black and work exceptionally well with hids it'll be a sweet add-on to my oreo theme

These will never work exceptionally well, they have cheap projectors. They may look good in black, but as far as working exceptionally well....not going to happen.
so does anyone know about the eyelids? even if they do work without modding, i wonder how it would look with the turns being partially blocked at the top?
Just the same as it looks with the MPX projectors. The turn signal location and design are the same. There's a thread on here somewhere with people asking that same exact question.

cool thanks. I probably should have tried looking that up. i thought they removed the bump or something on these so it would make eyelid fitting weird? maybe im wrong

Yea, I'm probly gonna snag a set of the Depos. Even though they're not real good projectors, I still prefer H7 over H1-based headlights. I'll start planning my retofit route. I'd like to do some compact bi-xenons in there, might have to do singles depending on room. The e46 singles in my WJ look alright, though not the ubersexy cutoff that some of the 3" projectors have.
would audi a4 projectors fit in here and what bulb do those projectors use for hid? i know you mighthave to modify the mounting of it but is the projector size the same?

Just to clarify, these depo headlights will mate with an aftermarket HID kit, correct?
