So I installed the HID kit I got from the group buy on here (very easy install) and tested the driver side headlight, then plugged in the passenger side and tested them both. They both came on (the buzz made me thing I messed something up. scared the hell outta me. lol) so I screw everything in and try em again. Work fine. Go out again at night to see em at night. Still, working fine.
3 days later (the car sat for that time) Im heading to work around 6am and it rained a bit the night before. What I didnt really notice is the right bulb was out the whole drive. So I test it at work and it came on for about 20 or so seconds and then go out. It came on each time, but then went out. I turned them on and off until I finally got it to stay on for the drive home. Stayed on the whole time. This morning it started flashing a couple times, then went out. I turned them on and off ten or so times until it finally stayed on. The driver side is perfectly fine though.
What could be the problem? Bulb? Ballast? Igniter? HELP!

I took out the headlight and check the connections for that side. Everything looks fine. Turned on the light and it stayed on the whole time I was out there..... Could it have something to do with the moisture in the air? (Cool and damp in the morning and sunny and dry now)

yeah i saw you were in md also. that could very maybe the cause. we've had alot of rain recently. where are ballast?
I followed ND4SPD's HID kit install (especially since I bought them from his group buy). I mounted both ballasts flat under that side's headlight. I havnt driven the car in the rain yet, but it has rained a couple times.
First almost all HID issues are a result of a loose or improperly attached ground wire. Double check that. Then chekc the fuses just to make sure one isn't blown.
Try swapping the bulb from the other side & see if it works? If it does then the problem is a messed up bulb (Moisture vibration, etc... from hangling loose).
If it doesn't work then try swapping the ballast from the other side over. If it works now then your problem is a messed up ballast (not likely but possible as they are water proof, short proof, reverse polarity proof, everything proof, hahah).
That's a start...

Yea, I just thought of that today at lunch. lol I would be doing that now but it looks like its about to rain.... I also noticed, when I was checking the relay that the blue wire came out when I picked it up, so now I have to figure out how to fix that...

Well, I get home from work and rush to swap the bulbs because the sky looks like it wants to rain. I swap them really quick and turn them on. The left side came on and stayed on, BUT it seemed like it didnt want to go white. It started up bluish, as normal, and never went white, like the driver side light does. At least it stayed on. That was Friday. Saturday I drive around with my friend for an hour or so with them on. Eventually the bulb finally turned white after about 30 or so mins of driving. Seems to be working fine now, which I find weird, and also annoys me a little because I never really figured out what the problem was....
I still have to adjust the passenger side down a little, so if I have any other weird problems Ill post up again. lol
OK, think about this for a second. You swapped a fully working ballast from the opposite side over to the problem side & then it started having issues... to me that says you have a wiring issue & that side isn't grounded fully or you have a short/ loose wire. Regardless, I'd be glad to send you a new Ballast if you send me the old one if you'd like.
Hold on the sending just yet. I didnt switch the ballasts, just the bulbs. Ballasts are still in their original position. Now, I DO have a loose wire, its the blue one coming out from where the relay connects all the wires. It came out when I was checking it to see if there was any loose wires....... Go figure. So I just shoved it back into place and rested it there. Had the same problem until I switched the bulbs. Its working fine now, but Ill see what happens when adjust the aim, maybe this weekend....

That's why your bulb is not working correctly. Fix that wire.
