Its more than just a lens you'll need. You'll need the entire projector as well

Typically this is what you'll need. Ballasts, 4300k oem D2S bulbs, DEPO replacement OEM Neon housings, and of course the projectors of your choice. That's if you want HID projectors. If your just wanting halogen then stick with the Valeo H7's because they emit a nice crisp beam pattern and are one of the very few halogen projectors that can be slightly modified to accept and perform well with HID.

In the right side of the pic, that has the projectors, bulbs and ballasts.

This is a Valeo H7 halogen projector with a chrome bezel (excuse the finger prints) from HIDPlanet. This projector is typically found in Vw's and Audi's as well as some Cadillac's.

to answer your question, yes you can use any projectors. but i would suggest tl's or tsx's projectors w/ oem bulbs and ballast

There are some that won't fit in the Neon housing so I wouldn't say he can use "any". There are also some that i wouldn't even bother in retroing due to their poor performance (mainly halogen referral there).
