Cool Custom chrome look HID retro shroud in the making!!

Well, due to popular request here she is in the making. Still a good ways from being completed so excuse the rough and unfinished edges and trim work . I got excited so I snapped off some pics of the progress just now. I'm looking forward to the final result! Should be the most OEM looking retro available or done to the SRT4/gen 2 neon.

Just placing it up there for looks....

Now a glimpse of what it will kinda look like once I adhere it to the stock bezel. It wil need a final trim piece to go over the projector lens and help position and hold the chrome look piece centered but nothing too complex left of it.

I prefer the blacked out version over the chrome/oem look too but your correct, this is why I have made both.

More than likely yes. Its because there will be much more work involved to make it work.

Like I said, its far from being finished. The pics were taken as I was trimming here and there....

Looks hawt so far man! Just needs to be back slightly more so that you can see the silver bezel around the projectors! Other than that, I think that would look pimp for the silver guys!!! I'd definitely pay a little extra for that!!

Now I just need to figure out where I'm gonna scrape together enough money for this damn kit! I really "NEED" it!!!!

So far it's looking good.

Do you think there will be any problems with oncoming headlights reflecting back at them? Those are like mirrors as opposed to reflective silver.

I'm by no means knocking them, it's just something that you might need to consider if you haven't already done so.

Yeah, keep in mind that is not where it will be positioned in the final outcome. I just put that up there for a quick reference pic. The end result will have that chrome piece sitting further back with the addition of a extra trim bezel going around the projector. Haven't made it that far with it yet.

There is always that possibility. I don't think it will be that big of a deal once athe clear lens will be on. Another issue that will more than likely arise once its all fitted together is that light will be bouncing around with the chrome pieces on the stock bezel trim with the addition of this piece. Time will tell though when it comes time for it to all go together. I'll post my results on glare issues when that time comes.

have to say, i like the black ones too. have you tried body color yet? the black would look sick on mine, (and any other schmuck lucky enuf to have a pair), but what about color matching the shroud to the car?
