Default Color Matched Headlights

What all do I need to do to color match my headlights? Do I have to buy different ones? If so, where can I get them?

I know you can buy the Morette style head projectors and paint it the color you want (like on the subarus...) But they are expensive!! It is probably possible to paint the factory ones but you will have to take it appart and re-assemble it after....little bit risky!!

Ok, I don't really want to get projectors. I just want a stock style color matched headlight.

There is a thread that shows how to do this. You have to cut the stock head light with a dremel. You are better off just buying some off Ebay. They come right apart. Acouple friends of mine even tried baking the stockers to get them apart but to no avail!
How-To: Hack & Paint Stock Headlight Housings
There's the link!! Sorry, I'm a newb and can't make it clickable. Or you can just go to the How-To forum and search headlights, that's what I did.

I might just get the ones off of ebay. I don't want to take that kind of chance with it.

You can't open stockers without cutting.

So save yourself a headache and buy some aftermarket DEPO, ebay, etc headlights.

Stick them in the oven or use a heat gun, then prep, paint and reseal.

Eagle Eye = Ebay

DEPO = modernperformance (vendor here)

Personally I would stay away form the ebay ones due to crappy quality versus DEPOs.

Either one you decide on, both can be opened via preheating the oven at 250, then turn the oven of and stick in one headlight at a time for 10 mintues, Or....do it with a heat gun.

Only tool you'll need is something to pry the housing apart with ....ie flathead screw driver, butter knife, etc

Yes.

Don't do that as you'll kill any and all output. The reflector must be chrome or it won't reflect light.
