Default Clear up a retro question...

I have heard from both sides, 1. you need to get the depo lights cause the factory glue is too strong, 2. you can take apart the factory lights just fine. Which one is it? Thanks

Stock lights won't come apart withouth cutting. Have fun . Many recent Dodge headlights have been this way for a few years. The stock headlights are made by valeo and the sealant they use is basically a one time use thing. It does not get loose with heat. You would more than likely melt portions of your housing before the lens would let up.

DEPO's come apart via heat at 250 degrees preheat for 8 minutes.

I got them open without melting the headlight by using a heat lamp. It took about 3 hours but it can be done. Now the only thing i have to deal with is condensation. Sucks.

I had an 01 stratus r/t and baked the headlights for 5min at 250degrees and they came apart just fine. I've also heard the srt4's cannot be pulled apart with this method but still want to try. Let me know how it works out Jarrod...
