Default check engine light- light mod?

all right i have a stage 1 if this matters but......... today i did the blue gauges mod where you change out the bulbs with LEDs and when i put back the car back together and turned it on the check engine light turned on,

so a fellow rsx driver told me to disconnect my battery to reset it... well i did BUT will this effect my stage 1? and will it take care of my check engine light problem?

thanks danny

It won't affect your s1 just reset the computer and you'll see higher boost levels for the first few hard runs and then it will adjust by itself. Your check engine light shouldnt be on. If your reset it then it will go away. What mods do u have?

Was the battery connected while you had it apart? If so, most likely you set a "bus" code. The three computers like to chat to pass the time. If one drops offline, say, the cluster computer (module) they take note of it. Pull codes, if it's a bus error that doesn't return, your cool. If it does come back, you'll have to check the cluster connections.

Yep, first things first run the codes and see what they are.
