theyre small leds directly on the circuit board of the radio. i wanted to do something like that, but i couldnt see any way to take them out and what to replace them with. they actually have a blue cover on them. but the yellow light from the bulb+blue covering=green lighting. just like all the other stock lighting. i ended up putting this stuff that i got from an arts and crafts store on each bulb and now theyre red, i suppose you can do something like that with blue, but it will be dark.

bring your radio to your trusted electronics repair guy. he can do the work for you. you sure dont want to damage your radio by doing it yourself the bulb replacement.

Or really save a headache and buy a New stereo with the color options you want, as well as better sound overall. Thought of having someone mess with mine when I changed the color but when I found out what they wanted for the swap I bought a new Alpine instead, LOL!

not sure actually, that is a good question. I am sure your local installer can answer that though.
