BSoares HID projector retro w/ night pics

Here is BSoares E55 bi-xenon retro. We used some OEM trim bezels from a Mercedes Benz to compliment his projectors. We originally had wanted to use the larger chrome OEM MB bezels but there are too large and interfer with the polycarb clear lens. He wanted the 04-05 style neon headlights that have the chrome outer trim. I also gave them a little colormod to intensify the colorband. You do this on E55s by pushing the low beam lens ever so slightly to acheive more color. Go too far though and you screw up the beam as well as cause the shield to stick on the high beam shield once the high beams are on.

Here's a close-up of the trim bezel. I had to leave a little space rather than sit my enclosure right up to the edge, otherwise my enclosure would hit the polycarb lens.

Here are some night pics. Got two tickets and was searched/harassed by the local police right after taking these so I hope you reall like them Bruno

Just after warm-up period from the ballasts

Great work Hak, that bezel looks very clean, should give the Neon even more of that bugeye look, LOL.

I read your forum thread about the cops, what a prick, I would definately dispute the tickets, if your record is clean. If it's not, you might just be in trouble. My buddy is here drinking with me tonight, he is local PD, I let him read the thread, he said that the guy was doing NOTHING more than setting you off, or trying to get you to snap.

He said it normally works, but he only does it when he knows for certain the individual is not one of the functional members of society.

Good luck Kenny.

Yeah I can understand them doing to someone who fits the description but I'm far from that kind of person LOL. I have plenty of friends who are officers so I know where they are coming from. This was just one of those cops who was intentionally trying to stir the pot if you will to see if I had something on me or if he could nail me for everything imagineable. I'm suprised he didn't go after me for the headlights since I first mentioned to him that was why I was out and about kinda late.

As for my record. It's clean. I think or hope I have a chance of getting them to lower the mph so that will at least drop the stupid reckless driving charge which was totally stretching the truth and he did it out of spite. He knew that charge was uncalled for under the circumstances and it would cause me to either say nothing or express my opinion.

But enough with the tickets guys. It pisses me off just thinking about it. I wished I would of broke out the D80 and asked if they minded if I snappped pics as documentation

Thanks for the comments on the retro though fellas

I really like them Hak! Beautiful work.

I'm sorry to hear about the tickets, I did not read the story but I'm sorry to know you had problems while taking those pictures.

I appreciate your work.

Let me know if you need my address again for shipping. I'm sure we'll exchange PM's as I have no idea how to install those but I'm glad I got the wiring harness from you too, that way if I have questions you'll know what I'm talking about

Thanks again Kenny.

Your too funny.

Guys, he was joking. He was actually one of my first people to do a retro for on these forums.

Jim, I'll get back to you on it. Been super busy and haven't had time to reply to the more "lengthy" needed responses in my PM inbox.
