The kid in the scion. I guess he has a wholesale acct. or is buddys with someone he wouldnt really give me alot of info about the guy he gets them from. Like 4 or 5 local kids got kits from him 1 in a 240 he has the 8000k kit and they are also amazing a civic his scion and a 3g eclipse and soon to be me. I was i lil skeptical at first as well untill they all showed me their setups.
After i get them installed and post pics im sure you guys wont be skeptical either.
lol if i had 12k HIDS i would take that shit and throw it in the garbage and then feel bad for the garbage man who had to take them out. 12k produces SHIT for lumens, i would take silverstars over that any day. Not to mention the horrible glare of an hid setup in the stock halogen headlights.
SO ..if 12K suck so bad, why don't you guys suggest which ones to get instead of just clownin' on him.
hid retro fit, if you can do the work yourself you can obtain all parts for about 300 dollars. If you really want to do an hid kit then 5-6k. The HID new crash course sticky is a good thread to read. 4300k produces the most lumens, thats why all oem systems are that.
that there is an example of how an HID kit does so terrible in a halogen headlamp. the light is not directed and is just all over the place. The light you want is al up in the sky when you need it cut off and directed down towards the road. I actualy noticed more light output with my silverstars than my aftermarket HID kit.
