The Gattling guns, the ones that he is using on BlueMenace's Retro. I posted them because he said he wanted to see how I painted mine so he and Blue Menace could get some ideas. They are HUGE shrouds and need to be diced in half to clear the lens. But they do work for both 2.5" and 3" projectors, you just need to trim more on a 3" projector. I loves them

Thanks for the pics!! There's just one more area I'm going to suggest to BlueMenace.

Ha ha oh but I am! I was going to just leave the "prongs" if you will and paint the entire thing black including the front portion but I went with my instinct and decided against it. If you do that they'll look badass also

Thanks for the pics Crystal!! I really like what you painted on the shrouds but I have something subtle to add to what you have done as well......we'll all just have to wait and see!!

Anytime, I'm anxious to see what you did. I think I know but we'll see in the end. Nice choice in shrouds!

Had a bit of an acrylic mishap on Friday. It bubbled up REAL f'ing bad this time around. So much so that when I went to form it it...the acrylic just tore with all of the air pockets. I'm looking into getting some polystyrene now since wiggyx suggested it when I was working on SRT04JK's project. We'll see how that works out.

However, I'm going to go ahead and paint the gatling guns so I'm not at a total loss. I'll be touching base with BlueMenace tonight and ironing out the painting scheme.

Styrene is teh bomb when it comes to vac forming. Once you've tried it you'll never go back to doing it with plexi.
