Default Bi-Xenon question

I just installed my Bi Xenon kit...when I was installing and plugging the actual light into the headlight hole, I wasnt sure which way they locked in.

After install I noticed on my garage door that the light pattern was shooting very high while on my low beams, When I flicked to my high beams the light shifted down dramatically to where a stock light beam would be.

I am thinking that they are sitting wrong in the housing, is this the case? I know that with a bi-xenon kit it actually mechanically moves the light up and down in the housing...and I am thinking this might be my problem, does anyone have any experience with Bi-Xenon hid kits?

mine don't move up and down, and i don't think you would have got them to lock. cause they have to fit in the grooves. well, some do at least. just switch them around and see what it does

the red light is the high beam, the purple is the low beam. i think you hooked it up backwards.

You should take the headlight out and do it the right way, take it out and plug it in until it is locked tight not loose, or unleveled. Sometimes when you have a bulb in the housing leaning, it causes the light to shift.

Its an HID Kit, when I turned the bulb I felt it click and lock, maybe it locked in the wrong way, it was a tad bigger than a regular halogen bulb..

Im going to check it tomorrow if I have time and make sure its sitting in there correctly.

Heres a pic. Reminder: these are apparently the high beams on and it looks alot bluer in these images, its 4300k white kit though.

PS. For some reason the Driver side looks whiter than the passenger side. Look at the output on the garage door and tell me if you can see the difference. I think they might have sent me 2 different bulbs or the blue tint on one of the bulbs was greater than the other. I personally like the look of the driver side output on the garage.

in the stock housing, it has to be one of the plug n play kits. there are 3 wires, 2 power, 1 ground. one is power for the low beams, one is power for the high beam. but being a bixenon pnp, i have no clue. i had the xenon/halogen combo for awhile, but the high beams were absolute crap. i was assuming it was a setup like that, and if the red/purple wires were backwards, your lowbeams would actuate the highs and vice versa. yea, reading titles pwns me. anyway, i have no clue.

Default Bi-Xenon

You definitely have 2 different bulbs...the passenger side is not 4300k

I have a Bi-Xenon kit in my other vehicle that moves the bulb for the high beams....i'm thinking that you may have the bulb assembly upside down....so when you turn on the highs instead of the bulb shifting upward it is going down...just double check to be sure

gt5oh....I have a question for you....I want to get a Bi-Xenon kit for my Srt...Did the kit you buy have the bulb cap installed on the Xenon bulb already??..did it fit inside the factory headlight housing with the factory bulb cap still in place??? If not, were you able to remove either bulb cap so they would fit??? I would appreciate your input!!

The kit was relativley easy to install. Here is a link to the exact type I bought and same seller ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HID-C...spagenameZWDVW )

The bulb was just the glass part, it fit inside the stock housing and used the stock installed bulb cap. Make sure to ask for the relay when you order and he will send you it as well.
