I haven't decided yet. I've just got the headlights apart and i could use some help where to go from here as far as what to seperate and take apart and what not to.
Well you need to get the reflector out. For that you have two options.
1. Use a small pry bar and being CAREFUL but using force, pry it off the back of the bowl.
2. Drill small holes underneath where the reflector bolts and remove the reflector that way.
Then decide on how you want to mount the projector, using the HaknSlash method of ABS plastic and mounting it through the headlight bucket. Or using the more modern method, that Wiggz, myself, NjKiko, ND4SPD, etc. have done and mount it to the reflector itself to keep your stock adjustment in play.
Got the headlight reflector lense out. I got a 5/16 open end wrench and undid the screw on the back of the lense, it was hard to get started but i just took my time. Once you undo the 5/16 screw on the back of the bowl above the adjustment screw, the rest of the bowl then swivels and the 2nd 5/16 screw is really easy to get to. No drilling to get to them. Here is where i am now...
Time to start shopping for projectors i guess
Heat up the oven to your temp but then turn it off.
With Depo's you can do either
250 deg for 8-10 minutes
300 deg for 6-8 minutes
Stock headlights are more of a pain to open. The sealent they use doesn't get as soft & pliable as the aftermarkets do. I tried 250, 300, & 350 degrees the other day & I finally melted the lens on one pair (they were junk headlights I was parting out).
