Default To anyone wanting a retro

I'm sure many of you have already seen the thread, if not click this link My TL bi-xenon retro *56k :(*. Many of you have asked me if I would do this for either in the thread or by PM. At first I didn't want to have many out there like mine but then I said screw it, everyone deserves good lighting lol. So here I am, offering my service to you. If your interested in me doing the HID retro for you, you will need these items to have this a reality:

1-some DEPO oem replacements
$200 from modern shipped
(can be bought here http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/srt4_index.shtml)

2-some HID projectors, ballasts and bulbs preferably bi-xenon (hi/low beam)
Ballasts, covers and bulbs are $370 from hidplanet
(can be bought here http://www.ebay.com/ or http://www.hidplanet.com/ for new equipment or http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ for used For Sale forums

3.-Prices for labor and including the custom harness would start at $275+shipping and go up from there depending if what kind of shroud would be used and if it would require making a complete enclosure.

Once you obtain all the equipment, you then would need to ship everything to me for the retro. I will do everything from start to finish. I will even use my car as the testing mule for aiming and adjusting. That way everything will fit and be in place like it should be. It will also mean that when it returns back to you, all you would need to do is bolt it in and wire up the harness. Everything will already be aimed exactly how it should be so you won't have to mess with any aiming at all. I will make you a harness that will safegaurd your cars oem wiring so that you won't have any issues down the road with melted wiring or electrical problems. This will be included in the price. I will also offer the choice of a blacked out housing or stock too depending if the projector can still sit inside the stock reflector, alot can't though thus the need for a custom housing.

Projector prices vary. TL's are on the expensive side of the projector price spectrum. They are the best bi-xenons out on the market right now. If not TL's, I would recommend Infiniti FX bi-xenons or the Hella's (New Maxima and E55's).

As far as the equipment such as the ballasts and bulbs, I highly recommend buying brand new equipment. Nothing sucks worse than buying something off the net used only to find out it doesn't work when it arrives at your front door. And with HID being a somewhat expensive luxury, it can be frustrating to get burned like that. So in other words, buy new to save yourself a headache. When using HID projectors, You MUST buy oem equipment because the projectors are made to only work with a P32'd D2S bulb which is ONLY found on oem bulbs. The oem bulbs can ONLY work with oem P32 base ballast. You see how this circle is go around. In other words, you must stick with oem equipment inorder for everything to function and work properly. You can buy everything here http://www.hidplanet.com/oem.html.

All in all, you will be looking at about a $700+ set-up starting out with EVERYTHING combined.

Well, I'm not going to bite off more than I can chew at any one point. If it becomes too many at any one time for instance, people will just have to wait until its their turn until I could accept any more to do.

Hahah thanks, thats funny you thought they were chopped lol.

Price isn't set in stone nor have I really sat down and considered just how much I will charge. It all depends on how much work will be involved and that comes from which projectors are used, shrouds, custom enclosure like mine, painted housings, etc etc.

Could you PM me a price for your time when you figure it out. Also a price for the parts from your site. I know the price for the Depos from modern.

Which kit do you recommend from hidplanet? There are 3 it looks like available. Two very similar in price. I'm going to do some HID research this weekend, and hopefully be ready to go by June. Hope you aren't too busy yet...

i'm pretty interested...saving me the labor is always a good thing. I just have to work up enough funds to get the materials and whatever you feel like charging to do the labor to replicate your own projector set up.
