Default Anyone done red dash lights?

I'm looking for some pics of anyone who did their dash lights and A/C controls in red. I did a search under Red dash and came up with nothing. I think the red theme would go good for the orange instead of the usual blue everyone does. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

I did purple and its to dim, so I'm going to try red. People keep saying "red doesn't work" and "there's a color filter that makes it hard for the red to show through", but I'm going to try it with the matrix bulbs and see. I'll post my findings.

I already tried the Matrix bulbs which I posted in another thread. Don't waste your money. I even took the entire guage cluster apart and you will basically have to get a whole new face in order for red to show decent. Still have to fix my coolant temp guage cause it's a bit off.

I really need to find that thread! I tried both Red and Amber Matrix LEDs in my guage cluster - THEY DON'T SHOW VERY WELL AT ALL. I've pretty much been there done that with most of the LEDs. Blue is the only one that will show up with no fuss. And when I checked the actual face it looked as if the numbers themselves would come off if you tried any sort of scraping. I may try once again and sacrifice my guage face for all you suckas...

It cannot be done, the faces of the numbers are green, you will make the needles super bright red however. I even went a step further than the matrix bulbs and put in a 921 bulb (3rd brake light bulb) and with 9leds shining through it still was pretty dim. I have an idea to bleach the gauge face to make it clear or to even shave off the green with a small file but Id rather buy a cluster from a wrecked SRT-4.

Is there anyway to just alter the color of the cluster to make it blue without getting into all of the lighting. That way there are not issues of the red color not showing up or the blue light not being well lit.

the blue lighting can be doen fine by justreplacing the bulbs, the red lighting is what no one seems to be able to get to light up even and bright enough Too bad because I have a red car and refuse to have blue gauges
