Default 9007 to H1 Conversion, why?

Hey guys,

I am curious as to why people are converting to the H1 HID bulb instead of the 9007 bulb?

I have an old phillips plug and play kit that was in my old Cobra and I am going to use for my SRT...

Also, I have another question about that. Is there a way to make it a dual filament bulb in the 9007 HID kit without switching over to a new kit?

Thanks guys,

People aren't switching over to H1 kits with stock headlights. The people running H1 bulbs have the Projector style headlights that require an H1 bulb to work and an adapter harness for the stock 9007 socket.

I'm not sure what you mean about the bi-xenon question. You can buy 9007 HIDs in either single xenon (low beam only) and bi-xenon (low and high beam). But H1 bulbs are not made to function that way....almost all H bulbs are low beam only.

If you run H1 bulbs for the stock headlights, does that mean you would have to retro fit them??
