your harness wont melt. lighting snobs want you to think it will. but it wont.

lighting snobs: still waiting to see the first srt that had a melted harness from hid's.

i said that his harness is gonna melt in the way of a question...i have read things about the heat and current melting the stock harness, mostly on haknslash threads...he's a pro at hids...i respect his information, this guy is not

go back to your hole ricer

Seriously though. I find it amazing some of you guys still think "teh essartee" is inferior to electical woes. I also find it amazing you think there has never been a SRT....err...neon to never melt a stock harness while using cheap, high wattage halogens or HID. For someone who preaches the search function, you sure don't know your srtforums history to well or standard electrical knowledge for that matter. Its ok though, one of these days someone will actually have the balls to post their harness melting publicly and that will be the day all your ricer or ignorant folks might listen.

Also, please explain how you think I'm some snob. I guess by snob you mean someone who doesn't feed this forum BS or let people take the risk in costing them more money in the long end. If so, I'm guilty. Or maybe by snob you mean letting people fuck up their shit and just stand by not saying anything to warn or help them? Yeah, thats me.. . Live with it and grow up. i'm here to help and your still an immature kid who thinks there is something wrong if someone tries to help someone or shed info. Just because you like to ghetto rig your car doesn't mean people like me can't warn others who are willing to listen, that this isn't the proper way to do things. Its ok, your one of the few I hope burns your shit up. I'll be waiting

Let me ask you this. What have YOU ever given to this forum?

haknslash is indeed a master of hid's, however, the general claim that hid's melt harnesses has not been substantiated with this car, and although he knows alot, by saying that wire harnesses will melt is only a guess, until one actually does.

that being said adding a beefier harness certaintly doesnt hurt anything,.. but, as far as we KNOW, its not necesarry.

im at a year with my HID's now, so consider my car an ongoing experiment.

hak- i see you threw "high wattage halogens" in there and for the record, yes i am aware of their record in frying harnesses.

im gonna search right now for srt's that burnt it with hid's and ill post a public apology if i find it.

i've done plenty for this forum, i dont think im supposed to talk about some of the stuff ive been involved in with srtforums but lets just say i helped fortify the fan base of this site in it's infancy. not to mention ive spent hundreds of hours to provide my local part of the country one of the most unique car communities on the web. you gonna give me a cookie? anyway...that has nothing to do with this argument so whatever.

going to search now.

btw.. adding hid's gives you better light. projector or not. you cannot argue that fact. just because it isnt the top of the line doesnt mean its "ghetto rigged".

by that way of thinking, all stage 2 cars are ghetto rigged because they didnt spend the extra money for stage 3. seriously.. go jerk off on your headlights or something.
