The only thing i see useless in the post is u puttn a chinese hid kit in a halogen housing. So what about all the cars that come stock w hid's and halogen fog's? I personally am leavin mine the way they are as they should be yellow enough compared to my retro's.
the stock halogen fogs as it is are usless, Im looking for a bit more output, and my thinking would be, if they are aimed DOWN as they should be they should be anywhere near out of control as somone putting hids in regular stock halogen headlight housings.
trust me im all against putting hids in stock housings...... Alot of people try to use the fogs as a driving light, they are not designed as such.
i have 6K in my fogs as well as my headlights...im working on a retro right now because the output with a projector is SO much more clear..but if your doing a 3K in the fogs aimed correctly you will be fine. i rarely ever get flashed with mine. so i dont see why you should have any problems..

Not really sure WTF is going on in this thread. 3k in the fogs won't really hurt anything. If you really want to get them working good, do the lexus retro into them and slap in some clean 4300k bulbs.
you guys got to remember, im looking for the foglights to be used as designed as FOG LIGHTS, lol, it seems like alot of people want to slam hid bulbs in and aim them up as driving lights..
I want something that would still be functional as im going to be running 55watt projectors in my retro, and I think 35watt 3500k fogs would offer GREAT visibility in the blinding snow this winter up here in the poconos.
