I have a kit I bought several months ago. It's 10000k HID headlight plug n play supposedly. My questions go to current owners of this type of kit.
Any problems you've come across? Burning/Melting of the harness, housing? Please post up anything I should know... Or if you know if someone has discussed this somewhere. I think I'm finally wanting to get dirty with this soon. That's if it won't hurt anything. I put just bulbs in my old car one of them were so hot it cost me 200 smackers to fix everything that was burnt. Not my idea of fun.

If you search around you'll see a slew of people who've had problems with their stock wiring or MFS due to using either upgraded high wattage halogens, cheaply made halogens, or HID headlights.
Also I've always heard for better light out put use 6k lights. The only thing the 10k's offer is a differant color light. Though I may be wrong and I'm sure hak will be in here to correct me if I'm wrong.

All parts should go together without forcing. You must remember that the parts you are reassembling were disassembled by you. Therefore, if you can't get them together again, there must be a reason. By all means, do not use a hammer. (1925 IBM Maintenence Manual)

Yes, the higher you go in kelvin (k) the less useable light you get (lumens).
6k is about as high as I'd go personally but some people like those smurfin' lights
hak lets see..
if you had to buy an hid kit(6000k) ..
which one will you buy?
If I had to buy one I'd chose 4300k...but....I wouldn't go over 6k. I think that answers your question better
Or were you asking which company? If that is the case, Philips actually makes their own genuine HID "kit" for you plug n' play guys. They use GENUINE OE components so you know your not getting some Asian knockoff brand/equipment. They are more expensive than your normal HID kit reseller but you know how that old saying goes...."you get what you pay for"....
