The price on this is $349. That is without shipping. Here is the pic they have on their site. Remember this is without the camera mount. I will be seeing what a local shop can do first as I'm a cheap ass. Here is the link to the site also.
Just some info. I just called and it sounds like the DMC Harness bars will be back in production. They have some welded up, but not powdered as they are working on some parts for a Lotus that they are focusing on right now. The only issue I see with theirs is they don't have support on the bottom, but they do have the camera mount. So I guess it depends on what you are looking for. They didn't know the price for sure, but the guy I talked to thought it would around $300.
When I get info from my local guy, I will let you guys know what they will do and at what price. They custom make parts
Willy is pretty accommodating to little custom things that people need done. If you can get a universal camera mount or something, you can send it to him and he can hook it up for you (probably).
I have been hunting around found a camara mount that might work but not sure may have to modify have one coming to make sure and will let you know thanks

Sure thing Willy...I will try to get that for you today/tomorrow.
why not just weld a 1" square piece of steel to the top of the bar, put a piece of rubber on it, drill a hole slightly bigger than the bolt needed to thread into the tripod socket on the camera, weld a washer on the opposite side to prevent pulling the bolt through, use a lock washer to keep the bolt from loosening and call it a day? it's a 3/8"x20 thread iirc for most cameras. really the only question is how long a bolt would you need, and I think that could be determined relatively easily.
I can do that on new ones but I would need a car again and the height so the camara will be high enough to see over the dash. If I can get or make one that clamps on then the ones already out there can put them on with out welding.
I would think if you don't put the mount where the camera, when mounted, isn't higher then the seat as everyone can see out the windsheild with their head on the seat, but yet not below the bar you should be good. Just my thought.
I thought you were working on this before you released the original set you have marketed right now?

When the camera is mounted it should be about where your head would be and that should be good. As long as it's not above your seats or below the headrest area you should be able to record out of the windsheild fine I would think.
