Do you have any pics of it? Also, where would one go and look for a small enough battery to be able to use one of these?

I think I remember seeing it, it's a short ram, similar to AMS's.

So it points to the front and not tothe fender where a cai extension would go...

this is exactly what i want, the option to convert one intake into short ram or cai by simply taking out one piece and placing it in the coupler so it sits in the engine bay for short ram. here:

can you make this? how much?

You would need two diff filters Cause the extension pipe that goes into the fender on the intake pictured is 3' cai extension, the 2nd pipe that goes to the turbo is 4'. Justin at jmb powder coat can make you a 4' cai but you will have to cut the fender well a little to get the extension pipe in there I think he does them for $300+ for the whole kit Couplers,t-bolt clamps, single stage Powder coat, small drycell battery, breather filter, large K&n filter, and Battery cover

Here is a pic of the prototype one piece is aluminized and one is stainless that is why they look different. The intake is made out of aluminized can have them powder coated black for $35

will that allow for a small battery to lay underneath it? ie: how much room between the battery tray and the intake?

can you use any lightweight battery? Or does it have to be a specific one to fit?

That car used the small battery and it was next to the intake not under.

what do you mean? after the intake goes down in the hole in the fender it goes right down to a 3" diameter intake for a short time w/a 3" filter? i'd want 4" complete...even if it means cutting the whole to be bigger in my fender. and w/having that same intake pictured, id just take the part after the coupler in the front there, take it off along w/the coupler and just attach the filter right there for my short ram, voila
