they've got very good reviews, everyone i've talked to that owns one loves it. i dont think i've read anything really horrible about them.
That's because the type of person that buys a Vizio TV is your basic Wal Mart shopper...not really savvy about anything except buying cheap ass shit. Not qualified to be giving TV reviews. Give them a shitbox Apex 20" tube TV and they're gonna give it rave reviews too.
If you want some info on TVs come into my store, like alot of people in the SWFLA area do.. or send me a pm.. I'm too tired right now to post anything longer than this.

go with plasma.....almost all the cons people talk about with plasma are gone, just applies to older models. LCDs tend to "ghost" things and i hate the fact that the picture changes depending on the angle you view it at. plasma has a much more vibrant picture and no "ghosting" or issues with black.
a nice 1080i or 1080p plasma is what you want. Sony, LG and JVC make some nice ones, so does Panasonic. stay away from anything in Wal Mart. Vizio = shit.

vizio != shit

Vizio = budget good
if they were awesome than they would be getting recommended above the others. Vizio is a budget company, they sell DECENT products at best. of course nobody you know is bitching about them. all new electronics in terms of a new big flat screen are awesome. over time the truth comes out. ever heard of Vizio? nuff said.

when 90% of the people on this forum have no idea what they are talking about its easy to be called a 'know it all'. I do this stuff for a living. I answer the same questions everyday and have to wade through the myths about this stuff. Most of it is the exact same stuff that gets spread around on this forum. Its actually comical. If people would just do their research and use common sense it would make things a lot easier. But until then, we'll continue to read or hear people saying that Plasmas Still have bad issues with burn in.. and so on and so on and so on..

Don't forget the inferior refresh rates that LCD has, which causes fast moving objects on screen to produce more of a blurred look than with plasma.
