Our 10-year-old American Eskimo got loose on Thursday. On Friday the local shelter called to say they'd found him, but he was dead. He was hit by a truck. My wife has been a lot. The kids are mostly taking it okay. My middle daughter has been kind of quiet.
Damn, sorry to hear about that. Losing a dog is very hard.

The picture with him wearing the tie - awesome!
Lots of Pennsylvania people in here. Very cool. I was born in Philly and am a DIE HARD Philly sports fan.

I am very very sorry for your loss. I've been a witness to 2 pet dogs dying and I was devastated both times, especially last year when my dog was put to sleep the day before my Dad's birthday. I hope your family will continue to comfort one another and when the time is right to get another loving dog to join all of you.

I know how you feel.. sort of.. Our american eskimo was 10 years old as well, but died from "unknown cause." Low white blood cell platelet count, low liver count (whatever those things are), and a few other problems.. it's sad. While we were trying to treat her for all of this we got another eskimo to help keep her company while we were out of the house, though. They are good dogs.
My parents used to have a maltese, nice dog until he became old and senile and turned grouchy every time you touched him.
I've never heard of a Cane Corso or a Shiloh Shpehard. Any pics?
The pics have been great. Thanks for sharing. Now I want to take a pic of my dog in or near my car as well. Maybe today!
The Maltese is the best watch dog because she hears everything. She's only 1 so we have quite a while til she gets old and grouchy. Heres some pics of the pack.
Also...apparently my cousin found a female Boxer. They wanted to take her to the pound but I told them that was wrong so it looks like they will be bringing her to my house. She is supposively less than a year old. I will be giving her away if no one claims her, to a good home only of course if anyone is interested.
