all this talk about cobras is making me hungry...lol, i only have 1 thing to say, yes a cobra (modded) weighing 3800lbs can run a 10.5 if it has 600hp or better, but it is gonna take a good driver to get that time, just because the car has the power doesn't mean the driver can run good times,i have seen a 500hp supra only run low 12's, why? because the driver (could not drive) the same car with his brother driving ran in the 11's, (little better driver) get the point. but 1200hp vipers, 800hp cobra, 800hp srt's all have the same problem on the streets..(TRACTION), supras are the worst, on the street anything over 800hp is useless...this is only my opinion and in no way do i premote street racing but i will gladly participate if i am prevoked...lmao. now i have to go mod more, all this talk of hp is making my 400hp seem like it is not enough...
You might want to recall something... a video of a SRT4 on the dyno and idle and others saying it has this and that HP so it will run this and that or be faster than this or that is the main reason why this thread spread in the first place. Some of us were trying to outline what you are trying to push off above on the other cars you mention. This thread is doing just that about an SRT4. So in short, we already know this hence the reason to point it out. Anyone could go build an 800 SRT4 but that alone doesn't justify it running with a high 8 low 9 second Viper. And I think the outcome plainly shows just this. It is hard to BS a BS’er these days.

Man the Ford guys enjoy the Dodge forums more than us. There seem to have some hidden aggression against SRT-4s .
Also, every man knows his game whether it's the 1/8, 1/4, roll, or top speed race. For most of us the game is from a roll stemming from a brief highway encounter. No matter how many Mustangs, Vettes, Camaros, or others that challenge us (or we challenge) and get smoked, the haters will always come back and say that we should have raced from a dig because it's the only way to race. Then they start talking about the fastest cars in the 1/4 in comparison to an SRT-4. Guys everybody knows that we drive SRT-4s that are 4cyl, fwd, eco boxes. I bought mine for one purpose.....cheap, fast and fun. You have to admit that an SRT-4 is the car that V8 owners love to hate.

Probably because almost every Cobra out and about is pullied and (going off the way you listed numbers) it is somewhere around 485 RWHP (550HP). Ported Eaton blower will be around (510 RWHP) 560HP and well every other Cobra has a Twin Screw on it these days (because it is so cheap) and the numbers will be right around (600 RWHP) 680HP.
And I will admit, an SRT4 with around 350 to 400 at the wheels will hang if not edge out a full weighted pullied Cobra from a roll.
I had a Yellow 2003 SRT4 (stock)... took it to the track and was able to run a 14.01 @ 98 MPH... on the way back home, a buddy of mine with a Mach 1 did a little roll race and I stayed right beside him through 3rd and 4 gears. This same Mach runs a 13.1 at the track.

For the hell of it, compare your numbers with mine. Mine are 498/578.... It's all about the curve and lots of us know, just because an SRT4 might hang from a short roll race doesn't mean its as quick a car is it rolling against.
