Default Reactions from Obama's speech today?

Another inspirational speech, but I think he still tried to cover up the racist remarks that his Pastor made. Of course his church has done so many good things for the poor, for those with HIV/AIDS, and so forth, but does that mean he can spout racist comments and sell DVDs with those racist excerpts on them because of all the good things the church has done?
He said his disowning of Pastor Wright would be like disowning his white mother or disowning the black community, both of which he would never do.
Comments? Do you feel more favorable towards Obama after his speech today or less favorable?

wow...its looking more and more like mccain is the only choice we have in this election.

why the fuck do black people, like obama and jackson/sharpton, have to continue bringing up the race issue?

McCain's old skeletons in the closet will come out sometime during the summer I'm sure. The mudslinging has only just begun.

I watched the speech when it was live. The only thing that I got out of it was he says thank you way too fucking much. He needs to get a thesaurus.

For those who do not approve what were you expecting? I am not sure there was much else he could have said or done given the circumstances. If he dumps his pastor then he is called a sell out. How was he not supposed to talk about race? It is a race issue and he handled it about as good as you can.

I just re-read all the response posts in this thread and am still waiting for an intelligent response. It is kinda funny reading about whining republicans. Just a bunch "fuck" "idiot" and "moving to canada" so far. So move to canada which is way more liberal than the USA to avoid a dem president. I have a feeling you will pull an Alec Baldwin and chicken out though.

how did he handle it responsiably? his pastor is more racist than 99% of the whites in america. obama falls in line with his pastor. how is this responsiable? we dont want someone running the country who falls inline with someone so racist

You over here saying you can't get an intelligent response. Whats intelligent to me is voting your conscience, not your fucking party line.

I've been following the campaigns for awhile now... from the beginning i thought he lacked the experience, which is why he wasn't a candidate i supported. it wasnt because he was black, but the issue or change he created. i thought he was more focused on the change more than solutions and thats what I'm more leaning towards.

from the remarks of his pastor, whether it was 30 sec > 30 years no one has the right to speak anti American rhetoric, and such divisive remarks. what made me even go further from Obama was the fact that he made his message about change, bridging together and his sound judgment. but from the looks of Rezko and now his paster who he says is his mentor which uses such harsh remarks about his country, just doesn't show his "sound" judgment or ways to bridge the gap when he surrounds himself around people who are divisive to begin with

Hes been a new cumber so to speak to the people of America and all these things popping up just doesn't go in his favor
