DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Parents of a Pennsylvania middle school student are outraged over what they found in their son's homework.
A racist caricature featuring the caption "No Wai!" was on the cover of a lesson plan handed out in teacher Matthew Curran's 8th grade math class at Lenape Middle School.
The parents of the only black student in class expressed "anger, rage, disappointment" to school district officials and the NAACP, according to John Jordan, president of the Bucks County NAACP.
"The teacher went through a lot of trouble to find this offensive image," attorney Ersula Cosby said.
A statement from the district quotes Curran as saying he chose the image because his students often say, "No way."
The statement went on to apologize to students and community members who were offended.
"The image has no place at all in public schools. It has no place in any schools," Jordan said. "In my opinion, an apology is nothing more than you're sorry you got caught."
A meeting is set between the parents, attorneys and school district officials to discuss the issue.

Anyways, The only type of black people who would complain about this is the ones who put their kids in a mostly white school for a *better education*. When something like this shows up they pull the race card. Those types have a problem with their own culture and often contradict themselves. If this was in an all black school it would have been hilarious. I personally just dont find it school appropriate.
